Open Question: Help improve my training routine.?
Here is my training routine:
Day 1 - Hiit training
Warm up.
Using treadmill (incline 2), 20 km/h for 50 seconds, followed by 8 km/h for 50 seconds, which I repeat x10.
Cool down.
Day 2 - Circuit training:
Warm up for 8 mins.
Stretch.
Cunches x50.
Push ups x50.
Crossover crunch, each leg x25.
Treadmill (incline 10), 8 km/h for 1 mins, 10 km/h for 2 mins, 12 km/h for 2 mins, finally 14 km/h for 2 mins.
Sit ups x50.
Press ups x50.
Bicycles x120.
Treadmill (incline 10), 8 km/h for 1 min, 10 km/h for 1 min, 12 km/h and 14 km/h for 1min.
Reverse crunches x60.
Squat thrusts x50, followed by burpees x30.
Side plank, each arm 30 seconds.
Plank 100 seconds.
Cool down.
Day 3 - Cardio:
Using treadmill (incline 2), 12 km/h for 20 mins.
Stretch.
200 kicks (raises, sweeps, frontal, spurn, turning and side).
500 punches (jab, cross, hook and uppercut).
Cool down.
I repeat the entire routine, starting from day 1, and day 3 is my 'rest day'.
I am 20 years old, 60 kg, 5'6 inches and I take healthy nutrition very serious!
Is my training routine unballanced?
Will increasing the intensity be overtraining, or am I already undertraining?
Any advice to help improve conditioning and performance will be appreciated.

24.Ask other customers if they have any Grey Poupon.
25.Drape a blanket around your shoulders and run around saying, “...I’m Batman. Come, Robin—to the Batcave!”
26.TP as much of the store as possible.
27.Randomly throw things over into neighboring aisles.
28.Play with the calculators so that they all spell “hello” upside down.

30.When two or three people are walking ahead of you, run between them, yelling, “Red Rover!”
31.Make up nonsense products and ask newly hired employees if there are any in stock, i.e., “Do you have any Shnerples here?”
32.Take up an entire aisle in Toys by setting up a full scale battlefield with G.I. Joes vs. the X-Men.
33.Take bets on the battle described above.

49.Pay off layaways fifty cents at a time.
50.Drag a lounge chair on display over to the magazines and relax. If the store has a food court, buy a soft drink; explain that you don’t get out much, and ask if they can put a little umbrella in it.

moreVoting Question: I'm looking for a bicycle similar in design to the 'Classic' bike by Gazelle, but one you can find in the US?
Design:

I just came back from Amsterdam, and I loved the bikes over there. Apparently, once you go Dutch, you can't go back. I live in Richmond, VA, not near any of the Gazelle USA vendors, and am looking for a similar design by a brand attainable in the US. Thanks!

moreResolved Question: To all you people who hate "black people", explain this to me?
Since you hate people of black decent, you obviously don't like:
Jackie Robinson, Barack Obama, Ursula Burns, Rosa Parks, MLK, Frederick Douglass, Tiger Woods, Will Smith, Lil Wayne, Benjamin Banneker, Mary MeLeod Bethune, Tyra Banks, Oprah Winfrey, and that's just a couple names off the top of my head.
Since you don't like Obama, you hate the thought of free health care, you really don't like the environment(Mar. 30 2009 – Obama signs the Omnibus Public Lands Management Act of 2009, which serves to protect two million acres of land and creates a new system of land conservation for the Bureau of Land Management.), and you must despise a fair paycheck(an. 29 2009 – Obama signs the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. Reducing discrimination based on gender, age, religion, or race.)
Ursula Burns: CEO, Director of Xerox Corporation. Xerox reported revenue of $17.6 billion in 2008. Burns received a bachelor of science degree from Polytechnic Institute of New York in 1980 and a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University in 1981.
Tiger Woods: Okay, maybe I shouldn't have included him, but besides that fact that he was unfaithful to his wife, he is a damn good athlete..and pretty damn sexy!
Will Smith: He's a great actor. He made Music that didn't have any foul language or anything offensive in it. He is a wonderful father, Husband, and overall person. And, again, good looking.

You can call "black people" lazy, and I can prove you wrong.
You can call "black people" worthless and incompatible, and I can prove you wrong.
Again and again.

moreResolved Question: How quickly will this workout show results?
I know that such an answer to such a question varies between each individual. I just want to know the average.
I am currently in the DEP program for the United States Navy. I have seven more months before I head to Boot Camp. I just started my workout routine, which will gradually get more intense. I am doing mostly calisthenics until I get my gym membership in order, at which point I will start doing weight training with free weights.
I am looking to gain functional strength, not just a cosmetic make over so to speak. However, I am hoping to gain muscle mass and a six pack, at least muscle mass. As of now, I am only 160 lbs. and 6 feet tall. I have hardly any body fat except a little stomach fat that is barely noticeable, but seems to be in the way of my abs.
This is my current workout:
-running seven days a week, alternating between a 1.5 mile timed run of which I am keeping track of in my logs, and run for time, as of now that time being 30 minutes.
-Following the run, I do the following:
2-5 sets of each:
-20 four count jumping jacks
-10 wide push ups
-10 tight push ups
-10 regular push ups
-10 squats
-10 lunges
-20 or more crunches
-10 or more leg ups (a.k.a. V ups)
-Bicycles
-Planks for as long as I can hold them.
The workout I just listed is done in no specific order, just to keep my muscles from getting used to a set rhythm. By the way, my 1.5 mile run is at about 12 minutes right now.
Based upon the workout routine previously stated, how long do you think it will take to show results. Keep in mind that I plan to increase the intensity over time, and that I am also about to start weight training (with a trainer for safety of course).I also forgot to mention that every morning, I eat at least 20 eggs, toast, either grits or hashbrowns, and a meat for protein. For lunch, I typically eat light, normally a sandwhich, or something of that nature. I also eat vegetables and fruit almost daily. I drink about 3 sodas a day because I work third shift, so it's kind of inevitable.I also forgot that I do pull ups as well.
I can really only do about 3 per set right now. I also swim every day at the lake near our house. No, I don't eat 20 eggs, lol
and I run my 1.5 mile in about 12 minutes. I run for 30 minutes regardless of distance to build stamina.

I've been told that doing betwee 12-15 reps on this is a good set. I in no way have a nice core, but that many reps doesn't make me feel any burn. I usually do them reasonably quickly, probably at a frequency of 1 to 1.5 seconds per turn. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I want them to be a struggle so I know I'm working my muscles, but they don't seem to be. Should I be doing them slower or faster or something? Thanks.

moreVoting Question: Limits to recovery time.(Workout)?
So i'm currently enlisted in 3 p.e classes and I have them everyday from monday to thursday and well I'm pretty much going to school from 7 am to 7 pm and the other courses aren't really that hard (math, bio) so the hw is easy. The problem is I'm not going to have much time to recover from the workouts. except over friday and the weekend.
My schedule goes
math 8:30-11:30
p.e (bicycling) 12:00-1:30
p.e swimming 2:30-3:50
bio 4:20-5:50
p.e gym time 5:50- 7:00
rest of the time is just returning home (1:20 bus/walking trip)
so I'll be home around 9 pm. done with hw by 10 and just go to sleep at 11 and wake up up at 6:10am
So my question is: Is it bad for my body to not have much rest between the workout dates however I won't workout on friday-sunday. So does it justify my schedule and body repair functions? I'll be under a great diet and well, that hopefully aids the recovery.
again.. do I seriously need to rest everyother day or can I just rest from friday-sunday. I really have to take those classes for credits(college) and doing them over the summer so dropping them might not be recommended. Thx for the help
p.s I'm not a troll. I'm just lacking the adequate info for this situation.

I have a 4 year-old cat. I really love her but it's a problem...I wanted a dog since I was 4 but my parents tried to make me forget about this buying me other animals! I am 12 and I had parrots, rabbits, hamsters, fish and I still have the cat. I don't want to give her I want to take her to the countryside ( i went there once with her and she felt good ). The problem is that I live in an apartment but not a small one with 2 rooms, with 6 rooms! And I don't want a small city dog like yorkshire (ok it is cute but I don't want a dog as big as a cat!) I want a golden retriever. I am in 7th grade and I study in the afternoon so I can go in the park with the bicycle with him before or after school and also with my friends! I think this is best because I accomplish my kid wish and I also don't renounce at my lovely cat! Please tell me you opinion about this and if you are good enough to tell me how to convince my parents (they said we will think about it) I will be very happy! :)
P.S. When we go on holidays and we can't take the dog we let him at the other countryside!
P.P.S. My parents can't be convinced just telling them that I will take care of it because so I said the same at the cat and I have to admit that they were putting her food and were getting her poop.

moreResolved Question: Would you allow your children to ride their bikes on the road?
Most legislation requires kids aged over 12 to ride on the road. Doesn't anyone else find this absolutely ridiculous?! They are only 12!! WTF is wrong with the law to allow these kids on the road and risk killing themselves? There is no bicycle education, kids don't need a license to ride their bicycles. Is this not a legitimate concern for parents out there? It is my belief that kids should have some form of license and be at least 16 to ride their bicycles on the road shared by cars and other larger vehicles. All I'm asking for is equality. If car drivers need to be at least 17 to drive their cars on the road, why shouldn't bicyclists? Some of you are arguing that bikes are vehicles. If Bicycles are classified as 'vehicles' they shouldn't the VEHICLISTS be at least 16-17 the same age is it is to ride a CAR vehicle?I do not disagree that it should be parents' responsibility to INSTRUCT their children about road education. However, in the same token, children are not bound by the law to have this education since they do not require a bike license. The law should make the age to bicycle on roads the same age as driving a car.@ Mick: Why do car drivers have to be 17 to be on the road yet bicyclists only 12? Both bikes and cars are vehicles are they not? Let's think about the age of adulthood. It's 18. When we question people about lowering the age, we are told that it is fair. Well is it fair in this scenario that we ask the law to make the age for driving a vehicle - be it car or bicycle - the same?

moreVoting Question: What should a midfielder do with the ball going overhead 12 ft in the air?
Back in the late eighties to early nineties I saw, on PBS (public television), a British midfielder who could get his foot 12ft in the air; he stood 6 feet and 4 inches about. I think he used a bicycle kick to send the ball back or at least bring it down to play. Is this possible or is my memory corrupted by time?
I am an American Football (Helmeted) former player and coach; I do not know your game; however this feat, if possible has always impressed me.
Thanks
moreResolved Question: Is This A Good Bicycle For Me?
I have a disability called spina bifida which limits my foot movement, my balance. After doing some research I found a type of bike called Elect Assist bike (EAB) which has a motor to help cruise along without having to pedal so much. Being a kid 12 years old, I have never been able to ride a bike so when i found this I got really excited !! Anyways my solutions to the balance was the motor because my brother says speed is what keeps you balanced on 2 wheels. For my feet, they cannot be kept on the pedal without flopping around so I would just add on a set of wheel straps I can get at my local rehab center for the disabled.
Do you think this type of bike will be good for me?
thanks a bunch !! i'm so excited !!
